Tom House

Tom House, along with Craig Wright, is the author of The Diamond Appraised, which was published in 1989. Wright and House were both employed by the Texas Rangers at the time, House as a pitching instructor, Wright as a sabermetric consultant.
The structure of The Diamond Appraised provided for Wright to compose a chapter on a baseball topic from a sabermetric point of view, which was then complemented by a chapter written by House addressing the same topic from the perspective of a player and coach. House's sections, while lacking in sabermetric content or research, are frequently receptive toward Wright's ideas. House has since authored or co-authored several books on pitching technique and conditioning.
