I found this book to be a mixed bag.
The structure was unusual where, they would talk about the select teams for a few chapters then go off on a tangent. Player Agging Patterns, Relief Pitcher Usage, Career Projections ect...
I thought the tangent chapters were far better than the main course, and while the teams they selected to profile left a lot to be desired. With many of the teams profiled all ready having a lot written about them.

I agree with Joe where he says "The mini-biographies on players such as Gavvy Cravath, Hoyt Wilhelm and Vern Stephens were among my favorite parts of the book." I've read most of the book in bits and pieces throughout the year. It's good, but not necessarily essential for one's baseball library.
